Colonel SHANE H. NAGATANI

Col Shane H. Nagatani serves as the commander of the 154th Wing, Hawaii Air National Guard, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. He implements, maintains, and oversees all  wing programs, providing leadership and mission support to  units on four separate islands. He is responsible for providing 
agile wartime-ready Airmen and mission capabilities to  respond to state civil emergencies and worldwide contingencies. The 154th Wing operates and maintains C-17A, KC-135R, and F-22A aircraft and in partnership with the 15th Wing, employs Total Force combat and peacetime capability to operations across the State of Hawaii and throughout the world.

Colonel Nagatani was commissioned in 1999 as a graduate of the ROTC program at Carnegie-Mellon University. He has served in a variety of positions as an F-15C Operational Test and Evaluation Instructor Pilot, an F-22 Instructor Pilot and Flight Examiner, and Commanded at the Squadron and Group levels.

Colonel Nagatani is a command pilot with more than 2,500 flying hours, including over 50 combat hours. He is a Joint/Combined operations veteran and flown missions in support of Operations INHERENT RESOLVE and NOBLE EAGLE.
