Ushering in new era
During the F-22 Arrival Cermony July 9, on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Base, F-22 crew chief ushers in the first F-22 Raptor as well as a new era for the Hawaii Air National Guard and the 15th Wing. The arrival of the F-22 Raptor marks the beginning of a new associate unit between the HIANG and the 15th Wing. However, this will be the first Air Guard led unit for the F-22 Raptor. The F-22 Raptor will be a HIANG asset while pilots and maintenance crews will be provided by both the Guard and Active Duty. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Betty J. Squatrito-Martin)
