Hickam Airlift squadrons participate in Balikatan 2016
Two airmen enjoy the view out of the rear door of a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft during a low flying maneuver conducted during exercise Balikatan 2016, Clark Air Field, Philippines, April 15, 2016. The aircraft was crewed by airmen from the Hawaii Air National Guard's 204th Airlift squadron and active duty 535th Airlift squadron. Balikatan, which means shoulder to shoulder in Filipino, is an annual bilateral training exercise aimed at improving the ability of Philippine and U.S. military forces to work together during planning, contingency and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.
