Aircrew from the Hawaii National Guard airdropped more than 70 members of the U.S. Army 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade and Spanish Army Airborne Brigade for a joint-forcible entry operation. The operation served as a training requirement for the participating soldiers, qualifying them to rapid assemble and deploy virtually anywhere in the European Theater.
