Hawaii Army National Guard soldiers from the 29th Brigage Support Battalion wait to load their humvees onto a C-17 Globemaster III, Apr. 23, 2020, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. The vehicles were to be delivered to Hawaii National Guard Soldiers and Airmen on Kauai, who have been activated to support the COVID-19 response. With Hawaii being an island state, airlift plays a vital role in posturing Hawaii Guardsmen throughout the Hawaiian archipelago for COVID-19 response.
