    Total Force Initiative (TFI) Airmen from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam executed ground refueling between two separate and contrasting airframes Feb. 25. Airmen from the active-duty 15th Maintenance Group (MXG) and Hawaii Air National Guard 154th MXG successfully transferred fuel from a C-17 Globemaster III to an F-22 Raptor and provided proof-of-concept evidence that the larger air-transport aircraft could refuel the smaller fighter jet.

That was the underlying theme of a weekend retreat held March 22-24, where 25 Hawaii Air National Guard [HIANG] married couples gathered at a Waikiki hotel for a weekend of learning, bonding, and re-energizing. The weekend workshop was part of the Strong Bonds initiative, a National Guard funded, Chaplain-led program whose core mission of increasing readiness through relationship education has been helping service members develop important relationship skills for close to two decades.
  • Training for any mission, any environment

    More than 40 Citizen Airmen from the 154th Wing, 313th Airlift Squadron and 624th Regional Support Group conducted joint aeromedical staging and aerial port training here March 3 in order to build relationships and train for future real-world missions. The event was a collaborative effort between the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve focused on both enroute patient care and staging, and cargo preparation and loading.
